Power Fx
Concept
Microsoft's open-source low-code formula language, modelled on Excel formulas, used in Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse and Copilot Studio.
Description
Power Fx lets makers express logic with formulas like =Filter(Orders, Status = "Open") instead of code. It is declarative and strongly typed, so formulas recalculate automatically when the data they depend on changes. Because it follows Excel conventions, people who know Excel formulas can build app logic quickly.
The language is open source and also runs outside Power Apps, for example in Dataverse formula columns and in Copilot Studio.
