Mark Orr

Person

I am a Microsoft-focused architect, technologist, and community contributor from Neodesha, Kansas. As the adopted son of Nelson and Gaytina Orr, my life has been shaped by family, service, resilience, and a passion for helping others succeed. I am a United States Marine Corps combat veteran who served three tours in Iraq before building a career focused on Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, PowerShell, identity, security, and automation. I earned my MBA in Information Technology from California Lutheran University. I am married to Courtney Orr, Director of Technology at Avanti Residential, and together we are raising our daughter, Aubrey, who inspires me every day. I enjoy turning complex Microsoft technologies into practical tools, scripts, and guidance that empower IT professionals, and I remain committed to giving back to the Microsoft community through open source, speaking, writing, and mentoring.
