Microsoft 365 Governance Debt How SharePoint, Power Automate, and Permissions Drift Quietly Break

Description

Is your Microsoft 365 environment slowly falling into chaos without you even noticing? Most IT failures do not happen with a loud crash, but through a quiet drift toward entropy that eventually breaks your most critical systems. In this deep dive, we explore how to move from reactive heroics to a disciplined strategy for the modern cloud. 🚀

We break down the core pillars of the Microsoft ecosystem, starting with SharePoint schema discipline and the dangers of treating collaboration tools like relational databases. You will learn why naming conventions and internal API names matter more than you think, and how to avoid the performance traps of item-level permissions. 📂

The discussion also covers the difference between deterministic app design and pure chaos in Power Apps, emphasizing the need for centralized reads, writes, and proper error handling. For automation, we cover defensive design in Power Automate, including trigger conditions and concurrency limits that prevent your flows from becoming silent time bombs. ⚡

Finally, we look at the future of AI and Copilot. Discover why your corporate AI should act like a librarian rather than an oracle, and how to build a governance spine using DLP policies and service principals to ensure your organization stays secure and scalable. It all comes down to a simple choice: alignment or entropy. 🤖
