The sharing panel in today’s meetings is the default place for content discoverability and sharing. New sharing panel UI is crafted with intent of modernising and simplifying default tasks such as window sharing, but also for easier discovery of sharing options and more discoverable file sharing.

Teams admins can access utilization analytics for Teams bookable desks on Teams Pro Management portal, similar to analytics provided for meeting rooms on the portal today. For utilization analytics to be enabled, a desk needs to have one or more peripheral device associated, and the desk needs to be licensed with Teams Shared Space license or Teams Shared Space - Single Space license.

Associate channels with a tag so members are automatically added to those channels when they join the tag. This helps teams keep channel membership in sync with evolving groups, reduces manual management, and ensures members have access to the conversations and content most relevant to their role.

Microsoft Teams will introduce near-real-time detection of malicious QR codes shared in messages. By analyzing destinations embedded in QR codes, Teams can identify potential phishing and fraud threats and apply additional protections to malicious content, extending existing URL protection to QR-based attacks.

Microsoft Teams is expanding Markdown support in the compose box, giving you more ways to structure and format messages using familiar Markdown syntax. Create richer, more readable messages while staying in the Markdown authoring experience.

Admins can now choose whether the organizer name will show up in the Calendar View on Teams panels. Admins can toggle the "Show organizer name" setting ON or OFF in the Pro Management portal or on the panel device. Based on the selection, the organizer name will or will not be shown in the calendar view on the panel device. Available with Teams Rooms Pro and Teams Shared Space licenses.

Facilitator is coming to Microsoft Teams meetings in GCC. The Facilitator agent can help capture notes in real time, answers questions about the meeting, and help keep the agenda and discussion on track. A Microsoft 365 Copilot license is required to use Facilitator.

Microsoft Teams will support explicit consent for participants connected through the public switched telephone network (PSTN) in one-to-one calls. When explicit consent is required, PSTN participants will hear an audio prompt when recording or transcription is started. They can use their phone keypad to consent or decline. Participants who decline can remain in the call but stay muted. This capability extends the existing Teams calling policy for explicit consent to one-to-one PSTN calls.
